Philadelphia ranks at the bottom among large American cities in reading proficiency; according to recent federal data, roughly 22% of Philadelphians aged 16 and older lack the most basic literacy skills. Furthermore, 52% of Philadelphia adults are functionally illiterate, and by 2030, an estimated 39% of the city's population will lack the skills needed to maintain steady employment. The connection is undeniable: limited access to quality education fuels cycles of poverty.

At The Haverford School, we are fortunate to receive an outstanding education, and we believe it should be accessible to everyone, no matter their zip code or financial situation.

That’s why we’ve launched a mission-driven initiative. By brewing fresh coffee and dedicating volunteer efforts, we channel 100% of our profits directly into a scholarship fund.

Together, we can tackle educational inequality and create meaningful change—one cup at a time!
